About deepfriedalma
The purpose of this blog is to give me a chance to flex my writing skills and hone my style. I think and say a lot of things but many times it doesn’t make it into written form because I get lazy. Of course, I think your life is not complete without having sporadic stories and insights from me!
About me: I’d be in my mid-20s. I’m not married, but I don’t have cats, so I am doing pretty well in my singleness. I am a molder of young minds, I spend my days with the future of America and there a good 68% that will make a good future, the rest will be working McDonalds or chillin’ in jail. Yay. I am living in Georgia, but I am from Michigan. I feel like I am in exile until the economy turns around. I am active in my church, I run the computer and projector for all the sermon points and song lyrics. Its a jolly good time.
Likes:
1. My family–because they be crazy, but we love each other.
2. Watching Netflix movies within the comfort of my own home.
3. The Lord–this should be number one, but I didn’t want to scare people away.
4. Perusing the “internet” (not for nasty stuff, ya sicko)
5. Dancing with the Stars, The Office, Scrubs, Bones, and NCIS
6. Rice Krispie Treats
7. Friends who are not high maintenance–you know who you be, peeps.
8, Fox News and all things conservative (now you are scared away).
9. Books! Classic Lit, Janey Austen, Brit-Chick-Lit, History books–Alexander Hamilton, the Old Testament, Civil War and WWII.
10. Being really smart, having intelligent conversations (I spend all day with teenagers–so not very often) and being bitter and sarcastic.
Dislikes:
1. Waking up before noon.
2. Credit Card debt.
3. Barack Obama and his stupid “Yes We Can” “Hope” and “Change” slogans. Actually I dislike people who fall for this crap more.
4. Seafood–they swim in what they poop, they eat where they poop.
5. Rap music that causes 12 year olds to gyrate like a stripper.
I know, I know I am a contradiction to my generation, but I have always behaved like a 60 year old woman, so my beliefs, likes, and dislikes follow that pattern.
